š„ This Weekās Word
ā One passage. One truth. A fresh lens for daily faith.
You donāt become a disciple by accident.
Itās not a class you audit or a vibe you catch. Itās a practiceāone youāre invited to grow in every day.
This week, weāll look at Luke 9:23:
āThen He said to them all: Whoever wants to be My disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow Me.ā
That word ādailyā hits different. Not when you feel like it. Not just on Sundays. Daily.
Following Jesus starts with a āyes,ā but itās sustained by a thousand little decisions after.
š Living in the World, Without Becoming It
ā Following Jesus through work, relationships, and everything in between.
A word for anyone just starting outāor starting again.
Following Jesus doesnāt mean disappearing from real life.
In fact, He prayed the opposite:
āMy prayer is not that You take them out of the world, but that You protect them from the evil one.ā
You still go to work. Pay bills. Deal with group chats. But you walk through it all differently:
š± You live a normal lifeābut with a new perspective.
š” Youāre called to be a light, not a lecture.
š Culture isnāt the enemyāconfusion is.
𤹠Struggling to find balance? Thatās part of the process.
š¤ You were never meant to walk alone.
The tension you feel? Thatās transformation.
Youāre not behind. Youāre growing.
āDonāt copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform youā¦ā
āRomans 12:2
Youāre here on purpose.
Just remember whose you are while youāre here.
š§ Quote to Carry
ā One sentence to carry you through the noise.
āDiscipleship is more than a decision; it's a direction.ā
āDr. Tony Evans
š£ļø From the Community
ā Stories from real people, walking with real faith.
"Since joining the Atlanta Young Adult Bible Study, my faith has deepened in ways I didnāt expect. Itās more than a midweek gatheringāitās become a lifeline of encouragement, wisdom, and community. Iāve noticed a huge difference in how I handle challenges and how I hear from God.ā

This past Sunday at Swift Cantrell Park, the sun wasnāt the only thing shiningāGodās presence showed up in full.

š¬ Breakout Takeaway
ā A reflection to pray on, write on, or share with someone close.
āSometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is be honest about where you areāand invite Jesus into it.ā
This week, consider journaling or texting someone you trust:
Where are you pretending? Where do you need Jesus to meet you right now?
š Faith in Action
ā Scripture to apply. Questions to consider.
š Read Luke 9:18ā27 and ask:
Whatās one area where Iāve followed Jesus conditionally?
What would it look like to follow Him without the backup plan?
š§ Weekly Challenge
ā One small step. One spiritual habit. A big impact.
This weekās challenge:
Give God the first 10 minutes of your day.
No phone, no emails, no distractions. Just open the Word, pray, or sit quietly and ask:
